Advanced Law Enforcement Research and Training (ALERT) was designed to provide progressive police training, investigations and consulting to law enforcement agencies across the country. ALERT's founder, Paul R. Laferriere, has over 35 years of law enforcement experience specializing in all aspects of personnel management, training, investigations and risk management. He is currently the President of The Police Society for Problem-Based Learning (PSPBL) a non-profit specializing in promoting the evolution of policing toward community-oriented policing and problem solving through problem-based learning. He is also a practicing attorney having graduated from Suffolk University Law School in 1991. ALERT’s staff consists of highly skilled and trained former and current law enforcement professionals specializing in a wide range of training, consulting and investigative services.
